wefunkDesign

wefunkSkateboards was founded 2003 and is based in Cologne, Germany.
It is solely operated by Alex Luxat, intl. awarded product designer and skateboarder since 1982.
The love to skateboarding and the quest for the ultimate riding experience is what really fuels the developement of wefunkSkateboards.
For 2006 there is a small product range of the most popular shapes and some new additions.
For some of the decks different surface options or flexes are available.
Every deck is handmade using only high quality woods, foams and composites, tested and proven as well as experimental construction methods.
These racing skateboards are no mass products and are sold to a very exclusive racing- or special-interest-scene.
The handcrafting and small production numbers neccessarily result in higher prices for wefunkSkateboards compared to industrially produced simpler decks.
I gurantee that you´ll get your money´s worth and more!

These are the standard shapes. (more to come!)
Note that there are usually no decks at stock so these decks are always built to order.
I can´t guarantee the veneers to be available at everytime so please contact me.
Make sure to state your weight when ordering.
TESTIMONIALS:

Clayski, Townsville, Australia on silverfishlongboarding.com:
"We set up 6 (wefunk) boards last night and ripped cones and some smooth fast black tared hills for several hours. We used JimZ/Pogo set ups on the speed bones, 2 Radikal Talons on the (6 wheel) 36 inch hybrid, 129/130 X-tracker-Seismic on the ‘Gs’ and Radikals on one ‘Ts’ with Splitfires on the other.
There were 5 of us testing these great rides from Germany and with out a doubt – if I ever own me a board company – Alex gets the first offer to head up design and building.
Wow…………fantastic rides……………especially the 36inch hybrid equipped with 200mm Talons(don’t underestimate this wicked truck!). This board re-defines top mounts forever!"

TESTIMONIALS:
Ryan, Virginia, USA on silverfishlongboarding.com:
"... It appears to be zero torsion and if not extremely close to it.
Drifitng in corners at speed it is amazing, your feet grip perfectly with the concave and it holds line nicely.
I guess I could get it lower by actualy dropping through the pogos, but that would be pointless and way to low.
I have owned a evo, ly dh, kebbek flushcut, and one homeade dropped board. I thought that dropped platform boards were the only thing for me, and to be honest I was pretty sceptable that I would like the wefunk. After riding the wefunk though I have to say that it is the best dh board I have ridden, hands down no contest. It accelerates like mad and and corners amazingly."

"Directive0" Toronto, Canada on silverfishlongboarding.com:
" Alex has put alot of time and effort into finding how to dial in a "programmed flex" and its that aim that gives the speedbone its unique layup and shape. Wefunk boards are not mass produced dime a dozen boards, and they are not "cheap". They are an investment in calibrated and controlled skateboard engineering, and as someone else said: if I had a choice of engineers to design my gear for me, Alex would be in a labcoat faster then you can say "veneer"."
Adrian "A-Drain" Alderson, skateshop owner Townsville, Australia on silverfishlongboarding.com:
"After months of waiting the Pogo plates finally arrived yesterday and today I setup Speedbone #1 with them and Jim Z hangers and Avilas. We took it out to our "practice hill" and I had planned to only ride it a couple of times, then hang it on the wall as a collectors item, I'm afraid that isn't going to happen. It instantly became my favourite deck from the moment I stepped onto it. The way it grips your feet, the slight flex before the torsion beam brings it to an abrupt halt, the accuracy and manoeverability, and most of all, how light it is when it has to be carried back up the hill. I love this board and the only way it'll end on a wall is if I buy another, so Alexander Luxat
